Artifacts (2014)
Through the malleability of the digital, the role of images has moved into a perpetual state of flux. At the same time, the growing influence and penetration of the internet has begun to transcend the distinction between online and offline.
As a result of the internet’s influence, images now hold both a greater level of influence and a more fluid array of representations than ever before.
Through the use of both natural and artificial objects, and the disruption of expected visual conventions through various processes of digital mediation, my work aims to create a point of tension between real and artificial, and invites its viewers to contemplate the changing roles and representations of images in a digital age.
