Non-Manifold Geometries I (2021)

In the field of computer graphics, it is possible to create objects consisting of geometric elements which cannot exist in the real world. These objects are referred to as “non-manifold”.

By transferring a selection of non-manifold computer generated objects onto photographic film through a process developed by the artist which applies the physical properties of the real-world camera to these impossible objects, this body of work invites the viewer to consider the boundaries of physicality, and the objectivity of the photographic medium.
